we are super excited in the Rizzo house these days, can you tell?

Who is Sophie you ask?

Well we have agreed to be the host family for a sweet 15 year old girl from Jiangxi, China, her English name is Sophie. She will be her to study in a typical American High School for one year. She will be living in our home and become part of our family. The goal with the exchange student program is to expose kids from other parts of the world to the American way of life. She will engage in all of the activities that typical American kids do. Forte International is just one of many organizations out there placing exchange students with American host families.

Sophie arrives in the USA on Aug. 3rd 2012 and will be here until the end of the 2012/2013 school year.

We are busy getting things ready for her arrival. I must say that I am really enjoying decorating a teenage girls room.

I hope so

our goal in doing this is to help our girls see that there is a world bigger then what is directly around them. We are hoping this will open opportunities for our girls in years to come.
