Today we learned about our second daughter. It was a day full of so much excitement and joy. We were 100% surprised by the phone call AGAIN! You see we had only told EAC (our agency) to start the process of looking for a child for us on May 17th knowing the Special needs list was coming out on the 18th. We full expected to have to wait for a few months before we were matched. On the 18th we waited for the phone to ring most of the night but it never did. We were a bit sad but knew it was OK that our daughter was out there and we had just not crossed paths yet. A few days later our friends form Orlando received the call from EAC, they were matched with a beautiful little 4 year old girl from Guangdong. We were so happy for them but sad that we would not be traveling together now after walking through this journey together every step of the way. We had to wait, nothing more we could do about it. So we did we went on with life as usual. Friday we worked and Saturday we took Sophia to her Little Gym class. That is when we got the call. In the middle of Gym Riz phone rang and he almost did not answer it but when he said "who's number is 440-" I said ANSWER it that is EAC! we ran out of the Gym hardly believing what was happening. Riz lost his composer and I had to take the phone. Chris proceeded to tell me what she knew about our daughter. We knew right away she was ours but there was a few things we had to do to make sure we were doing the right thing. Do we did those things and by dinner time we had a second beautiful daughter.
It has been a year full of happiness, growth and Love.
