Today I was planning on writing a post about the girls and what they have been up to. It has been far to long since I have posted here and was feeling a pull to come and write. Tonight we sat outside and played with chalk and bubbles as we enjoyed the first real night of fall here in Florida. My plan was to talk about that and how much the girls are growing both is size and in their love for each other.
When I sat down at my computer that all changed..
I received an email that took me in an other direction.
Let me back up and give you all a bit of history on this story.
Last year when we were in China to adopt Amelia, Can you believe it has been one year already? WOW time is passing so quickly. anyway, when we were there we had the great privilege to spend the day at the True Children's Home. The True Children's Home is a wonderful loving place that cares for China's most needy children who would otherwise be among the many in State Run Orphanages more then likely not receiving the proper care, surgeries or therapies needed for their particular special need. While we were there we saw first had the love that the folks (both Americans and Chinese) that run the home had for the children. We saw time and time again how the simple act of touching a child makes such a huge difference in their lives. This day was one of the highlights of our trip and will always be a cherished memory for our family. We were especially touched by one little boy, Xie Zhen. He was sweet, funny, active happy little boy. Xie Zhen was considered hard to place in foster care because he has a Tessier Facial Cleft. Sadly some in China there is still the belief that a person with this type of facial issue will bring bad luck or ill will to the home. We know this is not true..
We spent a wonderful afternoon with this precious boy. For the past year he has haunted our memories, he became a child I could not forget.
So for the past year I have talked about him on every Special needs board I belong to and for that matter every Yahoo group I belong to. We have prayed that his Forever Family would find him and step forward to bring him home.
Yesterday I got word that his Forever Family has found him and that they are working feverishly to complete everything they need to bring him home.
I cried..Tears of joy know that he has a family. I could not bare the thought of this sweet child never having a family. I know longer have to imagine that future for him.
His name is Hudson Xi Zhen now. He has a mommy and a daddy and brothers and sisters
God is great and he works miracles.
If you would like to read about how his family came to find him go to their Blog and read from the beginning May 2011
I was so happy to be able to provide them with pictures for Hudson from our visit. We all know how precious every little picture is we get while we are waiting for a child on the other side of the world.
We want to wish this family our deepest congratulations and support.
