Sophia is so into reading right now. We got her, her very own Library card about 2 months ago and now every Sat. morning we set off for the Library to see what we can find. She loves it!
Some times we all go together, some times daddy takes her, some times mommy takes her, it's fun to see her explore the shelves looking for just the right book. We always read three or four books at the Library and then choose 3 to bring home with us. If Sophia has been a good girl all week (and she always is :) we let her pick out two DVD's as well. She loves handing the ladies at the desk her card and is so proud when they talk to her about what she chose to read. They are all so sweet to her always giving her stickers and one week they even gave her a library bag her very own to carry her books home in, that made her day.
Each week she get her back and makes sure that everything we check out the week before is in there before we head out the door. She can hardly wait to get home to ready everything she just checked out We read those three books and lots of others over and over again each week.
I love that she is developing a love of reading and of books. She can't read quite yet but she is eager to learn. She especially loves anything from Eric Carle so she is going to flip over the Barnes and Noble Kids Club Story time this month.
